Steve Clayton

I moved to Shropshire in 1991 with my job and that is when I really became involved with art as a hobby. I live with my family in Shifnal and feel we have become a real part of the community. We love the Shropshire countryside and when we are “out and about”, I take photos of local landscapes that I can later paint. I enjoy doing commissions of pets and wild animals using pastel materials. I have painted with gouache and watercolours in the past but recently I have found the depth and contrasts of pastel painting much more interesting.
